Hour One's Natalie Monbiot on the possibilities of synthetic media

In this podcast we mostly present projects, ideas and products from the field of virtual, augmented and mixed reality, or, you could say, from the field of extended reality. This time, however, we're talking about a technology that is still based in more classic digital worlds, especially in videos. Nevertheless, as you will see, it fits perfectly with the title of our podcast, because it makes "new realities" possible.

Our guest is Natalie Monbiot, Head of Strategy at Israeli-American start-up Hour One that specializes in creating virtual twins of people so they can appear in videos. The technology behind it is based on artificial intelligence. Natalie will tell us why virtual humans are needed, how they are created, and why they could arrive in VR and AR in the metaverse. (If the metaverse makes sense for users.)
