Is your response to trials and hardships an acknowledgment of your weakness and a reliance on God’s strength? This week, Chris Nagel continued our series in Esther. Haman’s pride brought about humiliation, in contrast, through Esther’s humility to pray and fast for the freedom of their people, God showed up powerfully to bring about change that would not have been possible apart from Him. It's in our weakness that we become reliant on God to empower us and it’s through our weakness that God is glorified all the more! We have to fight against egotism and pride in our hearts that prevents us from seeing the power of God through us. Let us be people who are prayerfully dependent on God and exercise courageous obedience to step into the areas He calls us.
