We begin the show discussing the results from the Monte Carlos Masters 1000 event, where Andrey Rublev won his 1st Masters 1000 title with a 3 sets win over Holger Rune. We also discuss players that also had a very good week, including Taylor Fritz, Jannik Sinner and Daniil Medvedev, 3 players that continue to shine in 2023. Finally we discuss the return to action of Novak Djokovic and if his early round loss is something to worry about the rest of the clay season.
In addition to the action on the court, there was plenty of drama off the court in Monte Carlo, with Medvedev and Zverev leading the way. We discuss thier press conferences in which Zverev called Medvedev "one of the most unfair players", and Medvedev's response. Finally we talk about some of the drama coming from the Sinner vs Rune match, as well as the camera lens messages from Taylor Fritz and Stefanos Tsitsipas.
We also preview the draw for the Masters 500 events in Barcelona and Stuttgart, and the 2 ATP 250 events in Munich and Banja Luka! We go quarter by quarter discussing the most notable match-ups, and we give our predictions from the quarterfinals onwards.
This year, we are experimenting with a different format for recording our shows. Moving forward, most episodes will be recorded live or be pre-recorded and uploaded shortly after on YouTube and delivered to our Podcast feed the next day.
