One Big Story - Week 1
You know, the two most common things parents hear when they’re putting their kids to bed are… “Can I have a drink?” and “Can you read me a story.” It’s been said that our need to hear stories…in some ways…is a natural part of our make-up as humans. And just as water quenches our thirst…stories somehow have a way of hydrating our minds. That’s why we dream in stories. That’s why, when Lucy and I go to see the grandkids, they want to set on our laps so that we can read them a story. You see, stories have a way of coming into our lives and grabbing a hold of our hearts. And the interesting thing is this, we look everywhere to find them except the one place that has the most incredible stories that you could ever imagine...God’s Word. This Sunday, June 14th, I’m starting our new summer series called, “One Big Story”, that will start in Genesis and go through the book of Revelation. It will give us an overview of the Bible, not in depth, but a good overview that will help us to discover our story as we unpack God’s story. This will be our summer series for the next 3 summer sessions. Can’t wait to dive in this Sunday @ 10am... Jerry
