Starting a podcast editing business is hard. It's a service-based business, with a ton of technical skills to pick up. But don't forget that as a business owner, you also win the job of business owner (which also means business promoter).

[ 🗨️ Join the Conversation ]

That's part of what makes it so hard to get started.

You have to balance all the things. You have to spin all the plates. And at the end of a 14-hour day, when you realize that you don't have any new business in the pipeline, it's YOUR job to go out and get some new business.

That's when it's so tempting to just hop on Facebook or Reddit and start spamming all the groups with, "Want editing? I can help."

And then the group admin's ban hammer strikes hard, you get booted from all the groups, and even your closest childhood friends won't talk to you anymore, either.

Okay. Maybe not that extreme.

But there has to be a better way. And that's what we're going to talk about - some ideas for how you can get the word out about what you're doing without opening up that can of potted meat byproduct.

We may not have your specific answer, but we'll share our thoughts, brainstorm together, and maybe we'll all come out a little stronger.
