When Mary said yes to God she was stepping outside of her comfort zone. This yes meant that people would think of her as an unfaithful woman. This yes meant that she had to face Joseph with the news that she was pregnant. This yes was not developed on the spot but was cultivated throughout her life. She had no idea that God would choose her to be the mother of the Messiah but her whole life had prepared her for this moment.
