In today’s episode, we dive into attachment styles – those early relationship patterns with our caregivers that shape how we connect with others throughout life. If you’ve been following our recent discussions on modeling, this episode expands on that, breaking down how attachment styles influence our adult relationships.

The Four Attachment Styles:

  1. Secure Attachment – Built from consistent, responsive caregiving, this style leads to healthy relationships where we feel safe, supported, and resilient.
  2. Anxious Attachment – Stemming from inconsistent caregiving, this style can make us crave closeness while feeling unsure or needy in relationships.
  3. Avoidant Attachment – Often resulting from less responsive caregivers, this style leads to independence and emotional distance, with discomfort around intimacy.
  4. Disorganized Attachment – Rooted in unpredictable caregiving, this style combines anxious and avoidant traits, making relationships feel chaotic and trust difficult.

Recognizing our attachment style can be a powerful step toward self-awareness and growth. We’re all shaped by our early years, but we also have the power to grow, heal, and rewrite old patterns. No matter where we are on this journey, God is more than enough to guide us in transforming these areas of our lives.

Thanks for listening, and remember – growth is possible, and there’s always hope for healing.
