First, we feel what we’re feeling in order to articulate what we’re feeling. It matters how you say it. It matters that you say it. Those of us that are prone to people-pleasing will tend to keep silent, minimize our needs, and let the resentment build.
What does that feel like in your body to be the person that puts everyone else first? Are you feeling it in illness, depression, or lack of energy? What is it costing you? How many days a week are you saying you’re exhausted? Who is the person you want to be?
