Freedom in Christ to Be the "Real" Me, with Delphine Fanfon (Part 2)
Manage episode 428082165 series 3558422
Not everyone is a pioneer, but we owe much to those who bravely went first. This is true for trailblazing the west, rocketing to the moon, and believing that God’s grace can free us from shame.
This week, I’m thrilled to welcome back Delphine Fanfon from Cameroon. Delphine shares how her dislike of pretense led her to believe in God’s grace, freeing her to live authentically. She invited others to join her in creating a community of grace, where everyone could be their true selves.
In this episode, you'll learn:
- How spiritual communities create pressure to "polish the mask"
- Why safety requires being loved more, not less in moments of vulnerability
- Why the people of Cameroon can not easily advocate for themselves
- How Delphine was able to begin cultivating a grace-based and authentic spiritual community
- The ways she discovered that people have to want change for themselves
