The former North Korean dictator, Kim Jong-il, had several possible heirs, but the first in line had a knack for infuriating his father. When he had the audacity to try to sneak his family into Disneyland Japan, it was the final straw.
While some parents might seek a milder punishment, for the Supreme Leader, the only reasonable move was to arrange for his son's assassination.
However, when his attempts failed, and he passed away, Kim Jong-nam thought he might be off the hook. Yet, his troublesome and unpredictable little brother was right there to pick up where his father had left off.
