Hello friends and welcome to episode 16 of The Stained Glass Podcast. I’m your host, Jessica Spurlock. On today’s episode, I’ll be speaking with author and fellow podcast host Leigh Mackenzie about how God used Psalm 23 to bring her through a traumatic season of life. Let’s get started.

Join me for a powerful podcast as we speak with Leigh Mackenzie, a survivor who experienced military sexual trauma during the early days of female appointments at West Point. Despite enduring unimaginable pain, Leigh found strength in witnessing Psalm 23 in action throughout her healing process. Now, nearly 30 years later, she shares her inspiring quest for justice, becoming an advocate for change and support for fellow survivors. In this thought-provoking episode, gain insight into the challenges faced by survivors, the pursuit of accountability, and the transformative power of hope.

So with this in mind, I would like you to think of a difficult circumstance in your life. One where God may or may not have revealed to you the purpose for that circumstance. If you would like to share that with me, I would love to hear from you. I can read that story on the podcast if you’d like to remain anonymous or, just like Leigh, you can even come on The Stained Glass Podcast as a guest if you feel the Lord’s leading. Your story, though it may seem broken, can reveal God’s glory just by sharing it with someone else who needs to hear it. You can message that story to me on social media. You can find me on Instagram or on Threads @thestainedglasspodcast and on Facebook in The Stained Glass Podcast group. You can also email me at thestainedglasspodcast@gmail.com.

In the next episode, we’ll discuss how God used the pandemic and a journey into homeschooling to reveal His wisdom and providence. It drops in two weeks. Until then, this has been Jessica Spurlock with The Stained Glass Podcast. Go be a blessing!
