Sidi Shahryar Abbasi delivers a Khutbah in which he commiserates about the innovativeness and forward-thinking advancements in the not-so-distance past in the Islamic past that had propelled the world forward.
Sidi Shahryar said the pioneering work was grounded by closely following the Qur’an and Sunnah and he encourages worshippers to make personal strides to do the same.
The Islamic Golden Age is the era in the history of Islam, traditionally dated from the 8th century to the 14th century, during which much of the historically Islamic world was ruled by various caliphates, and science, economic development and cultural works flourished.
This sermon was delivered at the Muslim Community Center of East Bay (MCC East Bay) in Pleasanton, California on Friday, October 26, 2018.
