The Bible speaks a lot about “REST” to a world filled with striving and busyness to earn approval from God and men. We begin our study with the assertion that Biblical “REST,” is much more than a good night’s sleep! We dive deep into Jesus’ promise in Matthew 11, that He will give us “REST.” But there is a rich nugget of additional revelation there, tying rest and relationship with The Father together, which many have missed. Do you know what it is? David knew. In spite of his many sins and shortcomings, David was called “A man after God’s own heart.” The prodigal son also knew.
