If we truly care about ALL students’ rights to learn, we have to begin to be more active in school board advocacy. I’ll tell you why. Finally, we have to applaud Zaila Avant-garde for her recent Scripps Spelling Bee win. But, we also can’t forget to pay homage to the Black girl once deprived of her victory, Ms. MacNolia Cox.
