• The sleepers are safe
• You will be with them/them with you
• God is powerful and trustworthy
• These facts can be an encouragement
ii. The Times and Dates
• Date not known
• Inexorable
2. Responses to the gift of eternal life
• You are in the light - live that way
• Live a life of faith, love, hope
• Confidence in salvation
• Live together with Jesus - now and eternally
• These facts can be an encouragement
Conc - Reflect on vv9-10
He died so we have life eternal - now and for ever
Jesus is the key - 4:14, 16; 5:9-10

• Question: Are you afraid of death? Are you afraid of the
judgment? Does it bother you that you do not know
when Jesus is coming back?
• Question: How can you allow these truths to inspire you
and build open another up?
• Question: What does it mean to you to ‘put on’ faith,
love and hope?
