There is an important difference between "reporters" of culture and "reformers" of culture. While the reporters merely gossip, repeat, and spread culture's problems, reformers are the ones who work toward solutions to those problems. Too many U.S. citizens are reporters, and are doing nothing to improve the state of American culture for future generations, which is why the family of faith needs to step up. Without the transforming power of the gospel, good policies and principles will not be able to create lasting change. In order to be true reformers, we need hearts that have been transformed by the gospel, because on our own, we are slaves to the desires of our sinful hearts. With the Bible as the ultimate source of truth, we must be the ones to convince this crooked culture that it needs change. To heaven-ize earth and follow the example of Jesus, we must be the reformers of culture, equipped with courage and strength.
