With ecommerce becoming increasingly complex and good data more important than ever, merchants need to ensure their ecommerce systems are talking to each other, and in this episode of the BIG, commerce Podcast, Luig is joined by ‘ecommerce veteran’ Jim Herbert from Patchworks.

Patchworks is an iPaaS for - primarily but not exclusively - ecommerce merchants. iPaaS, or Integration Platform as a Service, is a cloud-based service that helps businesses integrate various applications and systems, making it easier to manage data and automate tasks.

Typical use cases include connecting an ecommerce website to an ERP and WMS, and with its API-based connectors, Patchworks can connect to a wide variety of systems.

Jim and Luigi cover the reasons why merchants should be considering an iPaaS such as Patchworks, the importance of choreography when it comes to pulling and pushing data from the different parts of a merchant’s technology stack, and how their new BI system enables companies to collect and leverage large amounts of data to make better business decisions.
