This film marked the debut of Rajesh Khanna, who became the first superstar of Indian Cinema from 1969.[1] The music of the film is by Khayyam and lyrics by Kaifi Azmi; it includes the song "Baharon Mera Jeevan Bhi Sanwaro", sung by Lata Mangeshkar.
