Welcome to the Memorial Day (all Army) episode of The Finished Works Brand Podcast! In this episode Josh and Courtney take time, to not only remember those who have have died for our country, but, everyone in the who is/has served in the armed forces. Sticking with the armed forces theme Josh and Courtney talk about there hope and plans for college and the military when they were younger. They also talk about Josh's mom, her 25 year career in the U.S. Army, and her struggles in the military including: coming back from a war zone and battling systemic discrimination against African-American hairstyles in the military. In the second half Josh and Courtney talk about Josh's experience with base life, racism in the south vs. diversity on the base, getting the hook-up from the PX (the duty-free store on an Army Base), and remember his shoe guy: Kevin.
