apart from a lover of noir vasan bala the film maker is a dictionary of cheesy 90s films. low budget, with terrible production values but the requisite sleaze. arjun kapoor grew up on a fair share of these B & C grade single screen staples which sometimes made as much money as the mainstream successes if they had the luck of the draw, but more often than not would fall by the wayside with no production budgets at all to prop them up. now this part documentary part reality show on prime video has four prime directors of the pulp film era back to create a movie each. arjun , vasan and myself spend this podcast sometimes laughing & sometimes seriously & sensitively imagining what these makers went through in the midst of the 90s. this will make for enjoyable listening as much as cinema marte dum tak on prime video will make for enjoyable viewing. “The HrishiKay Sessions” are produced & presented by Hrishikesh Kannan popularly known as Hrishi K Thanks for listening.
