Appealing to everyone at once is a skill exactly 0 people have mastered.

But when we take the entrepreneurship plunge, our brains sometimes trick us into thinking that having broad appeal is the safest way to do marketing.

Unfortunately, the more we try to target our messaging to everyone, the less our ideal customers realize that we’re talking to them and that they are, in fact, our ideal customers.

So, we have to trust that narrowing it down is the right move.

That’s why getting specific about what you want to offer to whom requires a lot of courage, confidence, and trust. Which is one of the main things savvy entrepreneurs seek support with when they work with me as their Marketing Confidence Cheerleader.

And when asked the right questions, many folks surprise themselves with the realization that they have a lot more clarity on their ideal customer than they thought they did.
