#41 With Rain, Nothing Grows, Learn to Embrace the Storms

I hope everyone is having a tremendous Tuesday! Going into the last day of the conference, I have to say this conference is like none I have ever attended. It has more downtime than normal and I was able to use that downtime to connect with some people in a major way. One of those conversations had me thinking deeply about where I have been, what I have been through (good and bad) and what I have learned looking back now.

The thing that kept repeating itself was chaos or hardship. I got through some of it, but I think I made the situation worse by fighting what was happening. Not fighting to get through, but fighting what was happening. I didn’t think it was fair or deserved or I felt like I didn’t want to deal with it. There were a ton of emotions around difficult times that were exacerbated because I didn’t embrace those hardships for what they were…an opportunity to grow.

If you can look around in the middle of difficult times and realize that this is God or the Universe or whatever preparing you for whats next…it doesn’t get any easier, but the shift in mindset help you hyperfocus on pushing through the hardship and getting to the other side. It’s not easy, you aren’t always going to get it right…but every step that you take towards embracing the storms, the better your life will be and the more you will grow!

I hope you guys found this helpful, it’s not easy, but you are worth it. Take care of yourselves and embrace the storms, milk them for all the growth they can create and be better prepared for what is next!
