Back again…Guest host and NetSuite content marketing manager, Ian McCue, is chatting with Lee Buescher, founder of Architectural Overflow, a commercial and residential architectural services company (2:14). After diving into his background and why he started the business (6:39), Lee notes the start of the company’s partnership with Southern Living in 2010 as a pivotal moment of growth (9:50). At the time, the business was running on QuickBooks, and Lee took a blind risk, knowing it couldn’t properly manage the partnership, which included ecommerce, customer service, fulfillment and more. And that’s when he decided to implement NetSuite (13:09). Lee says he knew he wanted a cloud-based system (16:06), and the fact that NetSuite could handle all aspects of the business in one place sealed the deal (20:10). Since implementation, Architectural Overflow has evolved to run most of its operations on NetSuite, from order management to customer service, financials to marketing, analytics, fulfillment and beyond (22:02). Today, the business is also in the process of implementing SuiteProjects to handle the complexities of project management and provide clients with increased visibility into project progress, including project profitability (23:48). Finally, Lee concludes with future plans for Architectural Overflow (30:25) and his No.1 piece of advice for fellow founders (32:28). Tune in to find out!
