You can’t please everyone - even Jesus who was perfect couldn’t make everyone happy. If you want to please someone, please God and choose purpose over popularity! Living for the approval of people keeps you from the purposes of God. If you don’t know the purpose of your life, you’ll misuse it - ask your creator about your purpose - then live in it. We please God when we live according to his purposes! Q - In your own words, what is purpose? And do you know what your purpose is? 3 thoughts about the power of purpose 1️⃣ Purpose diminishes distractions A big distraction is ‘comparison’. Like Nehemiah, we need to recognize the daily good work God has called us to and not live for the approval of people. 2️⃣ Purpose pushes us through the pain. We all face pain at some point when opposition comes against us, but we can’t let that process pull us away from our walk with God. 3️⃣ Purpose empowers you to please God Moses walked faithfully in his purpose and in so doing pleased God. (Acts 5:29) When we choose to obey and follow God rather than people we live a life that pleases God. Q - When in your life have you chosen calling over comfort?
