"Life doesn't happen to us, life happens for us." The way we perceive the ups and downs, and more importantly how we learn from and respond to them can make all the difference and getting back to the "up" moments.

On this episode, our guest Wayne Boatwright shared this perspective and how it applies to his journey. After living a life that was on a high peak, a decision he made would change his life forever that would lead to a fast and furious fall from that peak.

As a dad of two, Wayne shares his journey of learning to regain the trust of his loved ones after spending six years in San Quentin prison. His story serves as both a cautionary tale to those of us that are dads, as well as a story of how even the darkest moments can be used to serve others on our way back up.

Wayne shares some great tips on how to stay connected with your kids regardless of your situation, and also how to regain lost ground if you find yourself in a place where you have lost trust.

Wayne also serves as a Board Member for Man 2 Man Urban Youth Advocate, where he uses his vast business and legal background to help philanthropic organizations succeed in their missions.
