Welcome to episode 48 of the Still Spinning Podcast, the Total Eclipse edition. To start us off, Dan tells a story of meeting a listener of the podcast out in the wild! It is a first for us and we were excited. Yesterday was the eclipse, and we would have been remiss not to talk about it. Dan was sending Nicole updates and instructions on the best time to watch and it was totally worth it. Imagine sitting in the window seat of a plane as it is taking off and you see part of the engine cover blowing in the wind. This happened Sunday to a passenger on a Southwest flight and we shared some (what looked to Nicole like) scary footage but Dan said it was no big deal! Looked like a big deal to Nicole! Nicole loves Costco and has been trying to convert Dan for years and is close to breaking him. Costco is in the news as they are cracking down on who can purchase their famous $1.50 hot dog/soda combo and TBH, Nicole did not realize it needed to be cracked down on. This led to a mini discussion on stores with rules that they do not enforce. And somehow, it also leads to a discussion of wrestling, particularly WWF/WWE in the 80's. It was quite a night!
