For decades, Karyn has been writing and receiving "Love Letters From Heaven". In this special podcast episode, Karyn addresses the heartache of having to say "Goodbye" to a former or lost love. Realizing that not all those who come into our lives are meant to remain on our path for the duration of our lives offers a challenge when the time comes to say, "Goodbye". In this "Love Letter from Heaven" Karyn pens the messages that have been given to her, through songs and epistles that have helped her to learn to say "Goodbye" gracefully. "Learning to surrender someone's place in your heart becomes an art of combining mercy with grace and forgiveness. Goodbyes do not have to be hateful or hurtful. I have learned through the years ,after experiencing the loss of many loves, that a "Goodbye", when offered with an "I bless you on your way" can help remove the sting of what feels like a painful death." "Blessing someone on their way when they make a new choice is a matter of extending respect and honor for their right to choose a new path that may not include you." In this episode, Karyn shares three "Love Letters from Heaven" and three songs that have helped her during those times in her life when saying "Goodbye" was the only option in a relationship that was dying on the vine. "The Broken Doll" Song was written by Wanda Lindstrom for Karyn during a painful annulment. "Where Does Love Go?" and "Were You a Lonely Man?" were both written by Karyn. Dean Kaelin, Top of the World Studios, produced all three songs in his studio in Salt Lake City along with hundreds of Karyn's other songs. "When Wanda gifted me with the song, "The Broken Doll" ("Mend Me With A Broken Heart") it was the only time anyone has ever written a song for me. Wanda's song was the perfect gift for me in that moment of my life. She told me I could sing it anywhere and everywhere for those who were suffering from a broken heart. I sang it at Women's Shelters, the Prison, the Food and Shelter Coalition, The Family Treatment Center and at many other events. This song became a theme song for me as I learned that turning to the Savior is the only way to truly "Mend a Broken Heart". "I am so very grateful for the gift of writing and receiving "Love Letters from Heaven" through essays, poetry and songs. It has been my silver cord to heaven during the balance of my mortal training here upon this earth. Through the gift of writing the inspired words that have come to rest upon my mind, I have found that this is the way the Comforter works with me in my life. It is the intention of my heart to share some of that comfort with others who have cause to mourn in times of grief and sorrow. I know firsthand that one of the most painful experiences we can have in life comes in the form of a "Goodbye" and often, it doesn't feel at the time that there is anything "good" about it!"
