Aisha started earned her BSN from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2013, and began her nursing career in the VICU stepdown in Virginia Beach. Six months later she changed jobs and moved to the Cardiac Surgery ICU to start her journey to become a Nurse anesthesiologist. In 2016 she went on to attend Duke University to esrn her DNP with a specialty in Nurse Anesthesia. Her doctorate focused on healthcare providers' implicit bias and the pain disparities that come from them. Dr. Allen originally took to social media to encourage nurses to pursue advanced practice degrees. And while she still does that, she has also dedicated her platform to helping nurses achieve wealth away from the bedside.
