Is the terror in the skies a bit overblown? The seemingly myriad of mid-air mishaps recently have made flying seem like playing Russian Roulette at 30,000 feet. Infamous recent examples have included the Alaska Airlines door disaster in March and Southwest Airlines’ near crash-landing recently. However, experts have mixed opinions regarding whether it’s still safe to fly the friendly skies.
In the headlines on #TheUpdate this Wednesday, in our continuing coverage of the death of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, the man charged with murder in the killing made it clear he wasn’t going to make things easy for authorities, shouting unintelligibly and writhing in the grip of sheriff’s deputies as he was led into court and then objecting to being taken to New York to face trial.
