In episode #140 of The XS Noize Podcast, Mark Millar meets Scott McCaughey from supergroup The Baseball Project to discuss their fourth studio album, Grand Salami Time!

The band is made up of Steve Wynn (The Dream Syndicate), former R.E.M. members Peter Buck and Mike Mills, Linda Pitmon (Filthy Friends, Alejandro Escovedo) and Scott McCaughey (The Minus 5/Young Fresh Fellows and R.E.M. Produced by formative R.E.M. producer Mitch Easter (Let’s Active, The dB’s) on his final album, Grand Salami Time! brought together former R.E.M. members in the studio again for the first time in over three decades, and it’s The Baseball Project’s first release in nine years.

In this interview, Scott McCaughey talks about writing and recording Grand Salami Time! We spoke about Baseball, what it was like being a member of R.E.M. for 17 years and much more.
