As a service-based business owner, how often do you take time to dive into shadow work for yourself and your business? This type of work involves uncovering and examining parts of ourselves that we often try to ignore, like feelings of jealousy or insecurity.

It can be difficult, intimidating, and maybe even a little painful, but doing the shadow work is crucial to understanding and knowing yourself so that you can build a brand that feels authentic to you and help others in a way that will truly resonate.

In today’s episode, I’m explaining why shadow work is so important for our businesses, some prompts and questions to get you started on your shadow work journey, and sharing how my own shadow work journey has led me to make some big changes in my podcast and business in this final episode of 2022!

Thank you so much for joining me for season 4 of the podcast this year. Join me again in January as we kick off season 5!

What you’ll find in this episode:

[02:09] Why shadow work is crucial for self-discovery and how that translates into building a deeper brand that resonates with your clients

[04:59] The purpose of shadow work and why it may feel uncomfortable

[06:55] Questions and prompts that can get you started on your shadow work journey

[15:50] The new direction I’m developing for the Uncommon Couch podcast (I’m not going anywhere, but the format will be a little different!)

[20:09] How doing my own shadow work has lead me to fill a gap I see in the coaching space with some new programs while simplifying my life to spend more time with my own family
