Temple, Devalaya or Mandir is considered sacred spiritual place or a shrine in the Sanatan Culture or Sanātan Dharma. In the normal parlance, people consider them as a normal place of worship and often compares them with the places of worships of Abrahamic Faiths such as Mosques or Churches etc. However, if we go back to many centuries, temples have played a very important role in community building, economy of a state, promoting culture, education and act as a binder for the community of a particular kingdom, state or an area. To demystify the meaning, role and significance of Temple or Devalaya in this episode we have with us an esteemed professor Mr. Ramakrishna Kongalla. He is an assistant professor in the premier Indian Institution of Tourism & Travel Management, Gwalior, MP. His areas of expertise includes, Indian History, Tribal Heritage of India, Content Writing and Digital recreation.
