Today's NBA athletes are much more than just players who can put the ball in the basket. They're business owners, partners, husbands, fathers, fashion icon's and so much more! But in order to succeed at all of that, you need people behind the scenes pulling the strings to make sure the show goes on as planned.

Ashley Cox is one of those people, and we sat down with the Director of Client Services for Lift Sports Management to discuss the ins and outs of managing some of our favorite players in todays NBA

We get into the importance of building a team once you make it to the NBA, some of the tasks that get delegated to managers in order to allow the players to focus on there game, and what the craziest day on the job looked like while trying to complete a task for a client.

We discuss some of the challenges that come along with being a women in this industry, from having people blur those personal/professional lines, dealing with dating rumors, and how to deal with people who make assumptions.

Ashley dropped some gems on how to stay authentically you in this business, the importance of swallowing your pride, and focusing on the work in order to move up in this industry.

We ended it off with a fun game of "Most likely too..." featuring some of her LIFT clients, and discussed the significance of being in the building for Lebron James record setting night when he broke the NBA's All-Time scoring record.
