Is Christianity just a crutch?

Welcome to Worldview Legacy, with Joel Settecase (I don’t actually say my name in this episode, so if you didn’t know me, now you do).

This is a common thing you’ll hear non-Christians say. It’s different from many other objections such as “Can we trust the Bible,” or “Does Christianity contradict science,” because it’s a lot more emotional and less logical. It’s a “soul objection.” The good news is that you can answer soul objections the same way you answer every other challenge to your Christian faith—with a 3-step, presuppositional method that goes straight to the Gospel.

Specifically in this episode, you're going to learn:

  • How the person accusing Christianity of being a crutch is being arbitrary and inconsistent—and how to point this out.
  • Why the crutch objection itself makes no sense unless Christianity is true.
  • How your own story can be a powerful answer to the crutch objection.

We've tackled this question before back in 2001, but what you're about to hear is expanded and updated. With all due respect to the previous episode, this one is way better.
