Manage episode 305789515 series 2811671
On May 25, 2020, in oriontalent.com, I read an article about the importance of hiring passionate people due the value they bring to the companies. The article mentioned that 79% of people who are passionate about their positions are not in their ideal job role, but in ideal company. I hope that makes sense.
Teachers, does that sound familiar?
If yes, you’re not alone. Sadly, that’s the reality of our being a teacher in the U.S. When you’re not enthusiastic about what you do, you’re simply not going to be as productive as you want to be in comparison to other the individual in other industries like doctors, lawyers, nurses.
Let’s see if we can increase your passion for the time being, until things get better:
Stay Focus on the things that are working
This kind of focus enables you to see all the moving parts easily. It also keeps your effective tasks, and less likely to allow interruption or distraction with fruitless tasks.
Avoid Stress as Much as You Can
Know this is not about you, education needs help and so do you.
Be Creative
Find ways to shorten time you spend planning long lessons.
Get More Done
Don’t wait to get things done do it at school as much as time allow.
Get Better at Saying No
Don’t volunteer for anything extra after schools or to set up events or trips.
Have Fun
Have fun with the students, that makes the day go faster.
Go Home at the End of the Day
Don’t stay until late in the evening to go home.
