About this episode:

Nick Langer is a chef originally from Germany. He grew up with two brothers in Heidelberg. Impressed by his father and one of his brothers, who are chefs as well, Nick decided to work in hospitality, too. After his apprenticeship in the fine-dining kitchen of the exclusive 5-star superior hotel “Europäischer Hof”, he decided to combine his passion for travelling and his love for cooking. Nick started travelling and working abroad. He has been living in Melbourne, Australia, for almost eight years now.

In this interview, Nick gives insights into his daily routines as a chef. He tells some absurd stories from his experience working in different kitchens and why you should love to be a chef when working in this profession. He shares his knowledge about what he learned during the COVID19 lockdown when Melbourne’s hospitality industry shut down. If you want to learn why every day in the kitchen is a new challenge, and you’re looking for advice about handling failures, this is your episode! Listening and learning from each other is the key to personal development and success!
