Tradition versus Plastik, Fankultur versus Kommerz – die Schlagworte, entlang derer sich die Debatte um das Selbstverständnis von Klubs und Fanszenen im Fußball bewegt, werden oft polemisch verwendet, sind dabei aber alles andere als selbsterklärend. Die Traditionspflege ist beim Traditionsverein Dynamo Dresden jahrzehntelang zu kurz gekommen. Welche Ursachen hatte das? Und wie sehr pflegt ein europäischer Riese wie Borussia Dortmund seine reiche Tradition? Was bedeutet Traditionspflege überhaupt, was kann sie leisten und an welche Grenzen stößt sie?
