It’s tempting to let ourselves despair and feel discouraged when we look back over our lives and think about all the mistakes we’ve made, and all the opportunities we have missed.
While it’s important that we are informed by the past, we must never allow ourselves be defined by the past. Learn whatever lessons there are to learn and move boldly into your future.
The dreams we dream, the goals we set, the actions we take, these are the things that define who are and will ultimately determine who we become.
The Biblical witness is filled who started late, who dreamed a new dream and chose a new path: Abraham and Sarah, Caleb, Saul who became Paul, Rahab, the Samaritan woman Jesus met at the well, even King David who betrayed and murdered his friend…
All of these are folks who looked forward and not backwards. It’s not too late. Get started now.
