In this week's podcast, Principal Shane Altmann enjoys a conversation with Pastor Greg Fowler and Deputy of Secondary School, Mr Tony Longmire, about how the college uses the restorative practices framework to restore community when school community members make poor choices. They reflect on the restorative practices model as one that mirrors Jesus' ministry and message and allows the positive and healthy growth of everyone in the school community. They talk about consequences and punishment, giving voice to victims, holding each other accountable and the challenges associated with its perception as being too soft.
