This is a REWIND EPISODE where my guest is Karina Montilla Edmonds an aeronautical engineerr and leader in the field of innovation and technology transfer.

Karina has a distinguished career spanning from the Obama Administration to tech companies such as Google. She currently serves as the Senior Vice President and Global Head of Academies and University Alliances at SAP, a multinational software company.

Karina has been a life-long advocate for women and historically underrepresented minorities in STEM fields.

She is a member of the Board of Directors for Dragonfly Energy and also serves on several non-profit boards including, the Pasadena Educational Foundation and the University of Rhode Island. Karina holds a PhD in aeronautical engineering from Caltech, the California Institute of Technology.

In this episode Karina explains how very early exposure to math and engineering inspired her path to aeronautical engineering, she tells us about the flexibility that advanced degrees have given her in raising her three daughters and the money lessons she is passing on to future generations.
