1月12日,中消协发文抵制肯德基与泡泡玛特联合推出的盲盒套餐,批评其采用饥饿营销的手段诱导消费者非理性消费,并造成食物浪费。
为了集齐玩偶,有消费者一次性花费10494元购买了106份套餐;还有消费者雇人代买代吃套餐而获得盲盒,甚至买了套餐后直接扔掉食物。
On January 12, the China Consumers Association (CCA) called for a boycott of a KFC mystery box meal promotion, which was partnered with Chinese toymaker Pop Mart, and criticized KFC for using hungry marketing strategy to induce and condone consumers' irrational consumption, and lead to food waste.
To collect the full set of dolls, one customer spent 10,494 yuan (US$1,649) to buy 106 set meals;some would-be collectors hired helpers to buy meals and find toys for them, in some cases throwing away the food they were required to buy, the consumer group said.
