On this week’s show we talk with Dr. Christy Lane a professor and Chair of the Department of Health and Physical Education at Mount Royal University and a founding member of the Stanford Wearable Health Lab. A key to the future of clinical research is the collection of data outside of medical facilities using sensors and wearables. Before devices from heart rate monitors to sleep monitors can be fully leveraged they need to be validated for clinically meaningful outcomes. Our guest today is working to drive the adoption of sensors and wearables across the healthcare spectrum through academic research and entrepreneurial efforts to drive data driven adoption.
