One month out of the year is hardly enough to celebrate all of the uniquely American tales of heroism, courage, perseverance and survival among Black Americans. Their history is rich with many of these endearing qualities. Endless inspirational stories exist, in this episode I recite just a few of my favorites. From John Lewis, Bill Russell, Hank Aaron, and Sojourner Truth. Black History is American History. In part two coming soon, I highlight amazing stories of historic black military figures.
