Most people are familiar with deep-fried Oreos and Twinkies. Both are fried desserts that are popular at fairs and carnivals. But what is the difference between the two? Deep-fried Oreos are made by dipping Oreo cookies in batter and then frying them. This creates a crispy outer shell with a soft, gooey center. Deep-fried Twinkies are made in a similar way, but the batter is cooked around the Twinkie, sealing in all of the cream fillings. This results in a richer, more decadent treat.
