De: Unsere Heldin, Anna, hat ein Geheimnis.
En: Our heroine, Anna, has a secret.
De: Sie lebt in Berlin, der großen Stadt mit vielen Lichtern und Geräuschen.
En: She lives in Berlin, the big city with many lights and sounds.
De: Eines schönen Sonntags möchte sie picknicken, zusammen mit ihren Freunden Sophie und Tobias.
En: On a beautiful Sunday, she wants to have a picnic, together with her friends Sophie and Tobias.
De: Es ist nicht nur irgendein Picknick.
En: It's not just any picnic.
De: Es ist ein Picknick an der Spree, dem wundervollen Fluss, der durch Berlin fließt.
En: It's a picnic by the Spree, the wonderful river that flows through Berlin.
De: Mit einer Decke, Käse, Brot und Wein in ihre Tasche gepackt, nimmt Anna den Bus zum geplanten Ort.
En: With a blanket, cheese, bread, and wine packed in her bag, Anna takes the bus to the planned location.
De: Sophie und Tobias sind schon da.

En: Taking a deep breath, she says, "I have something to tell you."

De: Doch bevor sie etwas fragen können, fügt sie hinzu: "Ich habe ein Jobangebot in Hamburg bekommen.
En: But before they can ask anything, she adds, "I have received a job offer in Hamburg.
De: Es ist eine große Chance für mich.
En: It's a big opportunity for me."
De: "Einen Moment ist alles still.
En: For a moment, everything is silent.
De: Sophie ist die erste, die etwas sagt: "Das ist großartig, Anna!
En: Sophie is the first to speak up: "That's great, Anna!
De: Wir werden dich vermissen, aber wir freuen uns für dich.
En: We will miss you, but we are happy for you."
De: "Tobias nickt und lacht.
En: Tobias nods and laughs.
De: "Du bringst uns dann sicher den Hamburgischen Akzent mit, oder?
En: "You'll surely bring us the Hamburg accent, right?"
De: " Sie lachen alle und die Spannung löst sich.
En: They all laugh and the tension dissipates.
De: Die Sonne neigt sich zum Horizont, als sie weiterhin am Ufer der Spree sitzen.
En: As the sun sets on the horizon, they continue to sit on the banks of the Spree.
De: Sie reden über die Zukunft, machen Pläne, wann sie sich wiedersehen werden.
En: They discuss the future, make plans for when they will see each other again.
De: Obwohl sie traurig sind, wissen sie, dass ihre Freundschaft stark genug für die Distanz ist.
En: Although they are sad, they know that their friendship is strong enough to withstand the distance.
