Does our microbiome have a vote on how we live our lives?

It is not just us that needs to be fed. It’s also them– the 100 trillion microorganisms that live on and in our body. Wow! That is a population 10,000 times greater than all the people on earth, give or take!

But as the 100 trillion microorganisms that we carry around with us all day, every day, are very small, and do not have much of a voice, we mostly just ignore them and go about our business without the least bit of concern for them.
