Tip Time: If you’re tired, do not drive! You’re putting yourself at risk as well as other drivers. It will negatively impact your fast decision making skills while driving. Some red flags you’re driving while drowsy are trouble focusing, heavy eyelids, head bobbing and trouble remembering the last stretch of road you just were on. Also drifting from your lane. Some studies have been done on tired driving, if you’re awake for 18 hours straight and decide to drive it makes you drive like you have a .05 blood alcohol level. Keep in mind that anything over a .08 is considered drunk driving. If you’re awake for 24 hours straight, you drive like you have a .10 blood alcohol level. Tired driving and drunk driving are essentially the same take a break when needed. Here is a link for anyone interested in more comparisons.
