We created a couple of videos in the past on this topic which proved to be extremely popular on our social media channels so we thought it would be a great idea to do a podcast on the topic too.
In my experience as a physiotherapist at least 4 out of 5 knee injuries over the age of 40 have at least something to do with a wear-and-tear process or arthritis (whether the patient is aware of it at that moment or not).
So what do you do when you are trying to get fit and strengthen your leg muscles... yet almost anything you do for your legs hurts your knee. You cannot do squats, you cannot do lunges.
So where do you start? How do you overcome this challenge?
Here is my take on the topic. And I used this method to guide my patients and fitness members from not being able to climb a flight of stairs due to knee pain to doing lunges pain-free and in some cases even running.
