It’s NOT a downright shame that we’re watching Sweeney Todd to kick off our murderous musicals Halloween theme for October! Tim Burton’s bloody 2007 adaptation of Stephen Sondheim’s award-winning musical was a trip down memory lane. This movie has the usual suspects in a Burton movie, some surprising performances, and a stunning score (one of Jaime’s favorites!) Eric remembers his emo phase and Jaime does the research for this one.

Content Warnings: lots and lots of blood, a few brief gory moments, body horror, cannibalism, immolation, pedophilia, rape, and some violence against a child.
