Peter Beattie is an Assistant Professor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong who focuses on Political Psychology and Global Political Economy. He is also one-half of the wonderful program BettBeat Media which can be found on YouTube and Substack, with Karim Bettache. In this episode, me and Peter discuss what the studies of Political Psychology and Political Economy mean, how they help us to understand current global affairs and events, how propaganda and media misinformation dilute many peoples ability to comprehend the current situation we are in, and how understanding these things helps us to struggle for a better tomorrow. Thank you very much to Peter for coming onto the show, and I look forward to speaking again in the future, hopefully with Karim! Solidarity to you all! Glory to the Martyrs! Long live Resistance!…

In this episode, I discussed how Capitalism came into being, broadly, and how this process and its contradictions have led us to where we are today. I speak generally about how Feudalism was thrown into the dustbin of history through the collective action of the poor in alliance with the newly forming Capitalist class, and how this class of exploiters took advantage of the people's will to seize power for themselves. We discuss the movement towards Capitalism, the transition from "Free Market Capitalism" to Imperialism, how Imperialism, monopolies, and crises are a part of Capitalism's natural development, and how this intrinsic logic led us to today. In the next episode I intend to go deeper into the last 80-100 years to show how history doesn't exactly "repeat itself" but rather, comes in echoes. All Power to the People!…

Welcome to those tuning in for the first time, and to those coming back after a while, sorry for my absence/hiatus! I explain a bit in the episode where I've been and why I've not posted - but here's an upload! In this episode I speak on the feeling of defeatism/doomerism, fear, and worry, and how to deal with these feelings. I also speak about the need to redouble our efforts against Colonialism and Imperialism worldwide and to view the current situation as a whole, not as individual or isolated parts. We discuss the victories of the Axis of Resistance, BRICS, and other forces opposing US/NATO imperialism globally, and how these victories are inherently victories for all of humankind! All glory to the Martyrs, all love and respect to the resistance, and all power to the people! If you'd like to reach out, come on the podcast, or share any ideas to improve the program, please reach out to indefenseofliberation@gmail.com Peace, Love, and Revolutionary Solidarity!…

Nyah Mway a 13 year old boy was walking home at 10:20pm on June 29th, 2024- he was stopped by Utica police for allegedly fitting a description. Not 22 seconds (!!!) after being stopped by police, Nyah was dead. He will never see high school, or 14. He won’t see graduation, or college, or his first “real job”- Nyah is dead because he was murdered by the Police in Utica New York, because that’s what the police do! In this discussion we go through some of the lies that the New York Times, Huffington Post, Utica Phoenix, and other media sources, including the Democratic Party, Citizen Action, and other Non-Profits and NGOs who offer the people NO REAL SOLUTIONS!…
Peace everyone, wishing you all well! I wanted to take a moment to read some poetry from our friend and Comrade sister, Mother, Julia Wright- daughter of Richard Wright, friend of Kwame and Kuma, and freedom fighters all over the globe! So I drawn to speak a bit about something some comrades of mine - and shout out to them, you know who you are - have been bringing up quite often, and that is grief, trauma, and how to reconcile these things with revolution and resistance. Hopefully some of the things I say are worthy of your listening, take care all! All power to the people of Palestine!…

We also discuss the importance of internationalizing our struggles and what that means, the importance of centering Political Prisoners here and around the world, and much more!…
Where have I been lately? Who cares! Go out and struggle for liberation! What is “Revolutionary Optimism” ? And some other related points
We are a part of an international struggle against imperialism, colonialism, capitalism and exploitation. The resistance in Gaza, Lebanon, Yemen, Kuwait, Iraq, Iran, and elsewhere has proven that this system can only be defeated by direct confrontation between forces towards the objective of completely eliminating all forms and all systems of oppression. This is the only way forward.…
A reading of my poem, “What’s in a Mass Grave”
With the expansion of student lead university encampments, resistance operations, mass demonstrations worldwide, deterioration of the imperialist system, in-fighting, policing and terror tactics by the state and fascism on the rise, it is time to ask ourselves seriously: Is liberalism or social democracy, peace-activism, single issue fights, reaction and weekend organizing enough to stop them?…
We are coming up on the elections in occupied turtle Island, what does this mean? A brief commentary on what to do if you are voting, and what to do in addition to voting, how elections take momentum from real organization, and why we should not focus on elections as a meaningful tool for change, and of course along with that a brief analysis about how elections came to be a tool of the state for control. We also comment on the victories and continued resistance of those throughout west Asia, specifically, of course, those resisting Genocide in Palestine, Yemen, Lebanon, Iraq, Iran, Kuwait and elsewhere.…
